Walk or run at your own pace, based on your heart rate. This year round group is designed to help participants keep active during treatment, recover from treatment, get started in a fitness program and to maintain a fitness level year round.

Keep on training throughout the winter months using showshoes. If you are interested in getting together for a couple of hours of snowshoeing, please contact Nicki Germain at 957-0381. TSP has several sets of snowshoes to loan. Time and location to be arranged pending interest.

Seasonal Walk-to-Run Program      
Walk to Run - Start from walking and build to running using a proven training schedule. Join at any point in time and train to increase your endurance and stamina. Us this program to train for participation in events such as Race for the Cure, AMC-Relay For Life, or TSP seasonal programs & special events.

EVENT: Danskin Women’s Triathlon Series

DISTANCE: Varies by location, but approximately:

Swim - 1/2 mile, Bike - 12 miles, Run - 3.1 miles

In its 13th year, Danskin Team Survivor provides a fitness opportunity for women cancer survivors to train and participate in a triathlon event in a supportive environment. Women in all stages of treatment, recovery, and survivorship are welcome. Training programs specifically for women cancer survivors are offered in various cities across the country.

Walking Teams available too!

NOTE: Danskin offers a complimentary entry fee for cancer survivors participating in their FIRST Danskin Triathlon. To ensure the integrity of the Danskin Team Survivor program, this courtesy will only be available to those survivors who:

  • Complete the entry process 10 weeks prior to Race
  • Enter through Cathy Daldin at cathy@teamsurvivor.org
  • We regret that there can be NO exceptions to procedure
  • No refunds

EVENT: Klondike Road Relay

A perennial favorate, this is the event that launched TSP. Join either the running team or one of the walking teams. This is a great way to end the summer training season and a perfect launch to other fall and winter race training.

The race commences Friday evening in Skagway, Alaska, follows the trail of the Gold Rush Stampeders over the famous White Pass, through British Columbia, into the Yukon finishing Saturday in Whitehorse, along the bank of the Yukon River.
